ALL KINDS OF PRAYERS Part 7

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Eph.6:18

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” John 15:7

The prayer of committal or casting your cares upon the Lord is the prayer in which you cast your cares and concerns to God.  We are instructed not to fear or be anxious. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil.4:7 (NIV). ““Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?” Matt.6:25. Sin is a transgression or disobedience of the word of God.  “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” 1John 3:4. As a Christian you must come to terms that worrying or anxiety is as much a sin as adultery, fornication, stealing and murder because there is no small or big sin. Sin is sin. If God tells us not to worry or be anxious, it then means that every suggestion of anxiety or worry is from the devil. When you are tempted to be overly anxious about a need in your life, learn to cast your cares about that thing upon the Lord.  “Casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].” 1Peter 5:7 (AMP).

This is the prayer in which you release your cares and concerns to God and refuse to worry about it going forward because you have left it in the hand of God. If you still worry about it means the problem is still in your hands and as long as it is in your hands God can do nothing about it. You have to release it to Him before He can do something about it. The other rule guiding this kind of prayer is that you pray only once for that particular need. Do not leave the place of prayer until you are very sure that you have released that care or concern to God and it is no more in your hands.

The other rule guiding this prayer is that you pray this kind of prayer once regarding that particular issue. Having done this, you will refuse to worry about it going forward because you have left it in the hand of God.
