THE PRESENCE OF GOD Part 4

“The LORD went ahead of them. He guided them during the day with a pillar of cloud, and
he provided light at night with a pillar of fire. This allowed them to travel by day or by
night.” Exodus 14:21 NLT.
Biblical prosperity is all round prosperity, spirit, soul and body.
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul
prospers.” 3John2.
Prosperity of one area of your life at the expense of the other realms of your life is not
Bible prosperity. For example, when you make money at expense of your spiritual or
physical health. Anybody can prosper that way but that is not the plan and will of God
for you.
There are intentional steps you must take in order to enjoy Biblical prosperity.
First step is get born again if you have not already done so. The promises of God and
His covenant is with His children. Invite Jesus into your life as your personal Saviour
and Lord.
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to
those who believe in His name:” John 1:12
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God
has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
The second step is to deliberately walk and abide in His presence continually through fellowship
with His Word.
“Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My
Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” John 14:23
This will involve putting the word of God first in your life, studying (not just reading),
meditating (not memorizing) and practising the Word of God. God and His word are one
and you cannot abide in Him without abiding in His word.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
John 1:1
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of
the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14
“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall
be done for you.” John 15:7
