THE PRACTICE OF HIS PRESENCE Part 9

““Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name
Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matt.1:23

It is important to be conscious of God’s presence in and with us every time. This consciousness
should reflect on your thinking, speech, and action. When we pray it is not asking for Him to go
with us but thanking Him that He is going with us. This is because He has promised to always be
with us. “and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am
with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matt.28:20. “Let your conduct be without
covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He, Himself has said, “I will
never leave you nor forsake you.” Heb.13:5. Being certain of His presence gives you
confidence when confronted by an adversary. Instead of being afraid of the enemy, it is
your enemy that will be afraid of you because of the God in you that the enemy sees.
“When Israel went out of Egypt, The house of Jacob from a people of strange language,
Judah became His sanctuary, And Israel His dominion. The sea saw it and fled; Jordan
turned back. The mountains skipped like rams, The little hills like lambs.” Psalm 114:1-4.
In every challenge that faces you. “You are sure of victory because the God in you is
greater than the Devil that is in the world. “You are of God, little children, and have
overcome them because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1John
4:4.
Whatever cannot defeat God cannot defeat you because you are not alone. God is with
you always. Take a look at these promises:
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Rom.8:31
“The LORD is on my side; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” Psalm 118:6
“Devise a plan, but it will be thwarted; state a proposal, but it will not happen. For God is
with us.” Isaiah 8:10

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
“Do not be afraid,” Elisha answered, “for those who are with us are more than those who
are with them.” 2Kings 6:16. Not only is God with you but there are a host of angles
around you. You are heavily fortified indeed.
