“The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need.” Psalm 23:1(NLT)
Shepherds take care of sheep. The Shepherd guides protects and provide for the
Sheep.
The Lord is omnipotent and hence there is nothing impossible for Him. He is also
Omniscience implies that He knows the end from the beginning and knows all
things even what is in the heart of men. He is omnipresent and therefore not limited by
distance. All these attributes of God enable Him to be in a position to provide all that you
can ever need in life.
Because Shepherds care for the sheep you must be a true sheep of the Lord for you to
experience the benefit of full supply for all your needs. The first step in being a sheep of
the Lord is to come into his family. This happens when you believe the gospel and
receive Jesus into your life as your personal Saviour. “But as many, as received Him, to
them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:”
John 1:12.
Having come into His family you must behave as true sheep of His. The characteristics
of His true sheep include hearing, recognizing, and following the voice of the Shepherd.
“To him, the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep
by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before
them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.” John 10:3-4. When the sheep
does these three things, he will find pasture or supply for his needs. “I am the door. If
anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” John 10:9
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
“Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the
kingdom of our God and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our
brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.”
Rev.12:10
Our secret sins are an open scandal in heaven.
