REDEEMED BY HIS BLOOD Part 3

“giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the
saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into
the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the
forgiveness of sins”. Col.1:12-14
Our redemption has many implications. Firstly, we have been translated from the
kingdom of Satan to the kingdom of God. “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath
made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered
us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:” Col.1:12-

  1. When you relocate from one country to a new country. You are no longer bound by
the law that operates in your former country but by the law that operates in your new
country of residence. By the reason of our redemption, we are no longer of this world
though we live in this present world. “I have given them Your word; and the world has
hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray
that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil
one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.” John 17:14-16. This does
not mean we should not obey the laws of the land we live in but we should see things
differently and react to things differently from the way the people that do not know God
do. “They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the
world listens to them.” 1John 4:5. W should not copy the world but have renewed mind.
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new
person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you,
which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Rom.12:2 NLT. Our mind or the way we think is
renewed/changed by studying, meditating, and acting on the word of God. From
Philippians 4:8 we understand that we have the power to choose what we think.
Practice replacing unhelpful thoughts (it may be a fact but not helpful) with what God’s
word says about you, that person or thing. Remember as a man thinks so, is he? What
Do you think will eventually show up in your life?

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
The most dangerous place to be is not in the war zone but outside the will of God. Seek
to know, and fulfill His will for your life. You cannot find greater joy and reward outside of this.
