ALL KINDS OF PRAYERS Part 5

FROM THE PASTOR’S CORNER
ALL KINDS OF PRAYERS Part 5
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
Eph.6:18
“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire,
and it shall be done for you.” John 15:7
The prayer of agreement is another kind of prayer in our prayer toolbox we
can use to meet needs in our lives or the lives of others. Unlike the prayer of faith,
you can pray this prayer for other people. One of the rules governing this prayer is
that the two of you must agree on what you are praying for. You may be believing in
divine healing and the brother’s faith is in a successful surgery for that condition.
Instead of forcing him to agree with you on divine healing you can agree that he has
the surgery and the surgery will not only be successful but the recovery will be fast.
In other words, come to a common ground regarding what you want to ask God to
do. The second rule is that what you want to agree in prayer must be in line with the
word of God. Thirdly you must ask God in prayer. “Again, I say to you that if two of
you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My
Father in heaven.” Matt.18:19. This prayer should be prayed once for the particular
need you are agreeing on. Subsequently, your thoughts, utterances, and actions
should be in sync with what you have agreed to in prayer. This kind of prayer will not
work if either of you doubts in his or her heart.
