“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form,
and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved
upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”
Gen.1:1-3.
One of the great truths that came from the mouth of the Lord during His earthly ministry
is that you can have what you say if you believe. “For verily I say unto you, That
whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea;
and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall
come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23. Another great revelation
is that words are seeds. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who
love it will eat its fruit.” Prov.18:22. Seeds have power in itself to produce fruit.
Therefore, words have power in itself to produce fruit. If we tie these scriptures with our
text we can conclude that developing skill in the use of our tongue is key to our success
in every arena of our lives.
Use your mouth to say what you want and not to describe and lament your problem.
Focus on what you want and the greatness and faithfulness of God to bring it to pass.
Do not focus on your problems. Remember you are made in the image of God. The Devil
will bring suggestions of doubt based on human reasonings. Counter those suggestions
of doubt by speaking what you are believing God for based on the scriptures.
Remember Jesus countered the Devil’s temptations by speaking what the Word of God
said: “IT IS WRITTEN.”
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
You will never leave where you are until you determine where you would rather be.
