“The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need.” Psalm 23:1(NLT)
Whether your mind receives from your spirit, understands, and acts on what it has
received is dependent on whether your soul has been renewed or not. When you got
born again it was your spirit that was recreated, not your soul or your body. “Therefore, if
anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things
have become new.” 2 Cor.5:17. You know this because when you got born again your
height, skin color or even your reasoning did not change. That is why your salvation is
not based on your feelings. It is God that does this recreation of your spirit. “But to all
who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They
are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that
comes from God. John1:12-13 NLT). After you have been saved it is your responsibility
to do something with your soul and body. “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the
mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to
God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and
acceptable and perfect will of God.” Rom.12:1-2
