THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD Part 3

“The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need.” Psalm 23:1(NLT)
The Lord inhabits every born-again Christian. He does this by the Holy Spirit. “But ye are
not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any
man has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” Romans 8:9. “Do you not know that
you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” 1 Cor.3:16. “Or do you
not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have
from God, and you are not your own?” 1 Cor.6:19.
Man is a tripartite being, spirit, soul, and body. “Now may the God of peace Himself
sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved
blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1Thess.5:23. You are a spirit being
because God who is a spirit created you in His own image. “God is Spirit, and those who
worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24. “So God created man in
His own image; in the image of God, He created him; male and female He created them.”
Gen.1:27. You have a soul and you live in a body.
God guides you through your spirit. “The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD,
searching all the inward parts of the belly.” Proverbs 20:27. This means that God
enlightens or guides you through your spirit. Your spirit receives God’s leading from the
Holy Spirit who inhabits your spirit whose location is in your belly. “He that believeth on
me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this
spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost
was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.). John 7:38-39. Having
received from the Holy Spirit, your spirit will communicate it to your soul which is the
realm of your mind.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
Be selective and intentional in your thinking because your feet cannot take you to where
your mind has not been. As a man thinks in his heart so is he.
