ENLARGE YOUR CAPACITY TO RECEIVE FROM GOD Part 3

“Sing, O barren, You who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, You who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate Than the children of the married woman,” says the LORD. “Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the desolate cities inhabited”. Isaiah 54:1-3

God has the capacity to do everything He has promised you. He is also faithful enough to carry out His promises. However, there is a part we have to play and God will not do that part for us. The promises of God do not come to manifestation in our lives automatically. It requires our cooperation before it can show up in our lives. The promises of God are for believers and not for doubters or skeptics. Many times, Jesus told the people in need that it shall be for them as they have believed. Faith without corresponding action is dead. One of those corresponding actions is enlarging your capacity to receive what you are believing Him for.

One area our capacity to receive from God needs to be enlarged is in our thinking. Proverbs 23:7 makes it clear that as a man thinks so he is. In other words, your thought life determines how far you can go in life. Andrew Wormack put it this way, you cannot go in your body where you have not been in your mind/thought. God wrought a lot of miracles for the children of Israel in Egypt and in the wilderness. One of the reasons for these miracles was to change the thinking of the children of Israel from the slavery mindset to that of overcomers who believe that nothing is impossible with God. However, we read in Psalm 78:41 that they limited God in their thinking despite all that God has done for them. “Yes, again and again, they tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel”. Psalm 78:41.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

“And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined doing”. Genesis 11:6. God attests to the power of imagination
