“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all
things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Rev.4:11 KJV.
When the purpose of a thing is not known abuse is inevitable. You were created by God
for His pleasure. This implies that if your life is not pleasing to Him, you are fulfilling His
purpose for your life.
Living a life that pleases God brings a lot of benefits to us. These include:
a) answer to prayers: “And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his
commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.” 1John 3:22 KJV.
b) His abiding presence and al the benefits His presence brings: “And he that sent me is
with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.”
John 8:29 KJV.
c) favour even before your enemies or those who would ordinarily hate you: “When a
man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him”
Prov.16:7 KJV.
d) Guidance, victory and wealth transfer to you from those that do not please Him: “If
the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which
floweth with milk and honey.” Numbers 14:8 KJV.
Wisdom therefore, requires a man seek to find out what pleases God and pursue such.
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
“For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him
that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.” Matt.25:29 KJV.
If the grace on your life and ministry is not increasing, check your faithfulness.
