FAITH COMPANIONS Part 2

“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” James 2:17
NIV
“So also, faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by
itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead).” James 2:17 AMPC.
Faith is voice activated. “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be
removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those
things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23. The mountain
cannot move until you speak to it. Notice that Jesus said you shall have what you say
and not what you believe. However, for what you say to happen you must believe it.in
your heart. “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I
believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,” 2COR.4:13.
Confession of what you believe gives birth to your salvation which includes forgiveness
of sin, healing, deliverance, provision, etc. “But what does it say? “The word is near you, in
your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you
confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised
Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness,
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Rom.10:8-10. The woman with
the issue of blood, released her faith by word and action. Jesus said to her that her faith
has made her whole. This means that it was her faith that was speaking when she said
that if she touches His garment she shall be made well. “Now a certain woman had a
flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She
had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard
about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said,
“If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Immediately the fountain of her
blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction…….And
He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of
your affliction.” Mk.5:25-29,34,

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
You have to get out of the boat before you can walk on water. Many people want the testimony
but are avoiding the test, Elijah had to obey the first command of speaking to Ahab of the
coming drought (not fearing his wrath and his own provision) before God could give him the
second instruction concerning his provision.
