“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name
Immanuel,” which is translated, as “God with us.” Matt.1:23
God operates by faith He created the world by faith and upholds it by faith. “By faith, we
understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that the things which are
seen were not made of things which are visible.” Hebrews 11:3. “(as it is written, “I have
made you a father of many nations” ) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God,
who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;”
Romans 4:17. If two cannot walk together unless they are agreed, it then means that a
man cannot enjoy intimate fellowship with God without faith. God takes this so
seriously that we cannot please Him without faith. “But without faith, it is impossible to
please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of
those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6. Again the Bible states in several places
that the just shall live by faith. “But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of
God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” Gal 3:11. This means that for the child of
God’s faith is a lifestyle. The reality is God has no pleasure in the person who draws back
and quits walking by faith. “Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My
soul has no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10:38. Simply put, faith is thinking, speaking, and
acting as if the word of God is true. Your relationship with God grows as your faith in
He and His word grows and vice versa. Our faith is based on being fully persuaded by
the faithfulness of God to do what He has promised to do.
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
“He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith,
giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also
able to perform.” Romans 4:20-21
